AIO Encore
Collection Details
The
AIO Encore
Collection will be hitting stores this September,
and we now have a product description. Thanks to the
Adventures in Odyssey Blog for catching this over at
Tyndale.com. Here's what we have to look forward to with AIO Encore Collection:
The party isn't over yet!
After the runaway success of
Platinum Collection, don't miss this exciting new
Adventures in Odyssey collection that celebrates the family
values and unforgettable characters of everyone's favorite
small town. Encore Collection spotlights our greatest
adventures by decade—1980's, 1990's and 2000's—with laughs,
suspense, teachable moments, and more in every story. Plus,
this set features photos and other bonus material
introducing families to the show's fun characters, talented
actors, and even how Adventures in Odyssey is made.
I was recently listening to my
copy of
AIO Live,
and Dr. James Dobson happened to mention that it looks like
Adventures in Odyssey is going to make it around the
globe. Releases like this help to get the word out in a very
well-done way. This release is not only good for collectors,
but it's exciting for new listeners to get some idea of what
the show is before making a commitment to the show. I'm
excited to see how popular AIO becomes in the next few
years. Maybe it will make it across the globe!
Also the sampler for Passages has been given the name
Fletcher's
Rebellion. This is a change since we posted
information regarding the product.

The Ceiling
Fan Contest Revealed
This just in from the
Ceiling Fan podcast (well I'm a few days late, but
who's counting?)! The highly entertaining AIO podcast has
announced their "Ceiling Fan Fan Hijack." Yes, it really is
a hijack of the show, but it involves a little bit of work
on your part if you want to be the contest winner! One of
the contest prizes includes your work getting some
exposure via The Ceiling Fan. The other prize is a
free T-shirt which you can preview
here. This contest certainly proves to be an
exciting one that we'll be hearing more about in the coming
days. I highly encourage you to submit your work to the
people behind the podcast. They're very anxious to see what
you'll come up with, and I'm also excited to hear
what you've got up your sleeves, too! Click
here to listen to the audio revealing all the
thrilling details and how you can get involved.
Since we're on the topic of
this one-of-a-kind AIO podcast, I can't fail to mention that
The Ceiling Fan's first video edition of the podcast
is now available. Click

Flights of
Imagination on eBay
I've thrown my hat into the
eBay world and I'm trying to sell my very own cassette
edition of Flights of Imagination. I've never done
the whole eBay thing before, but I guess there's a first
time for everything.
Click here to see the product on eBay and further
information. I have a large inventory of albums to put up
one of these days, and I am just testing the waters now to
see if I can actually be successful. Are you an AIO
collector? I'd be happy to autograph the album if you're the
lucky winner! (wow, I'd like to see who would actually take
me up on that one!) Of course you'd have to specify before
you sent your payment to me. If this auction fails, I'm
perfectly content and won't be sad. I highly encourage you
to keep your collection going and be the first person to own
an album from the Odyssey Scoop webmaster's bookshelf!
Edit: This auction is no
longer available.

Repacks of Adventures in Odyssey
Lately I have been receiving
quite a few emails regarding the Adventures in Odyssey
repack schedule. In case you haven't noticed, the Odyssey
Scoop had consistently added product images of upcoming
repacks for over a year. It seemed like it was happening
every few weeks. It doesn't surprise me that many of you
have written to me asking about why no other repacks have
been added to the site in recent days. Never fear! The
repackaging project is still underway, and we'll be seeing
some new product images soon. Basically, it all comes down
to inventory. As the older editions of the AIO collections
disappear from the warehouse, a demand for product redesigns
exists. So there you have it. The repackaging project has
not been cancelled. After all, it was just getting good! Be
checking back within the next two weeks and you may see yet
another repack AIO release. Something's brewing and we get
to see it soon!
Today I also updated the
Schedule page with upcoming
episodes in August 2009. The months are just going too fast!

Official
Podcast #69
It's
time for another edition of the
Official Podcast! And this time, we get another free
episode!
Enjoy a free episode from "On Earth As It Is In Heaven"
(album 17), plus hear Bob Luttrell talk about bringing
actors to the show and stepping behind the microphone
himself.
I'll be the first to say that
the segment with Bob Luttrell at the end is well worth the
listen. He gives us his behind-the-scenes perspective and
you won't want to miss it!

Weekend
Schedules
In case you haven't been
keeping up with our airing
Schedule,
some noticeable changes have been made to the summer lineup
of shows. We've also posted what's coming up each weekend
through February 2010. Lots of exciting things are in store.
Most notably, we had posted that "The Best Small Town"
series of episodes would air this summer. However, those
shows have been postponed to late mid-December/early 2010.
Instead, we'll be hearing a series of "Washington Family
Episodes" throughout summer 2009, followed by the special
audio dramatization of
Darien's Rise.
Click
here to see for yourself
what's coming up in the next eight to nine months!
Also this September, the
AIO Encore
Collection will make its debut in stores as well as
online. We've posted a few of the episodes that will be
included in this collection - all fans' top picks! Right now
we only have information regarding three episodes which will
be included.
The Last Great
Adventure of the Summer,
The Twilife Zone, and
Two Friends and
a Truck are planned for release in the
collection and will also air during late November/early
December 2009.
Don't get dizzy with all these
exciting things coming up from AIO. I think we've only just
begun barely hit the tip of the iceberg.

AIO News is
Flying!
Today I've updated our
Merchandise section with the
new
Darien's Rise
dramatization which releases this August. I also have posted
some info regarding a new sampler which will hit shelves
this September:
Passages.
Keep yours eyes on these pages in the days ahead for more
details as they become available.
As for AIO news, I briefly
mentioned (on Saturday) the release of the
AIO Encore
Collection. The latest news I have been able to find
is that the collection will include 36 episodes of the fans'
picks on 12 CDs. So if you've been awaiting an album of fans'
favorite episodes, this is it! And of course you'll want to
keep checking back to our
product
page in the future for more details! This is going
to be good!

I Graduated!
After
five years of grueling and painful-at-times studying,
designing, reading, and test-taking, I graduated from
Pensacola Christian College on May 6 with a degree in
Advertising & Public Relations. The last week has been one
of the craziest weeks of the entire five years as I had to
finish some loose ends, pack all my stuff to take home, and
get through the very busy graduation week festivities.
Looking back, it's a week I never want to re-live again
because I almost had a nervous breakdown by the end of it.
But God is faithful and pulled me through. Now it's time to
design my portfolio with all my art projects to show to
prospective employers. Now that I'm free from the very tight
grips of PCC, I hope to get this site updated with some
long-needed things in the days ahead.
As
for Adventures in Odyssey news, a new preliminary
cover art for the upcoming 3-CD set, Darien's Rise,
has been made available at
CBD.
Darien's Rise is being dramatized from
its
original release
as a book by Paul McCusker with five other books in the
series. The cover features a very nice green flavor and
maintains the look and feel of a book reading or book
dramatization package design. I'm a big fan of what I'm
seeing. Click on the image for a larger view. We'll also be
seeing the release of the episode
Passages
as a sampler around the same time. Darien's Rise is
expected for an August 3, 2009 release. Stay tuned for more
exciting updates regarding this special audio drama.
But that's not all. Yesterday
I was surfing around to see what other things I could find,
and I discovered that a special set called AIO Encore
Collection will be released in September 2009. According
to
Tyndale, this special collection includes 12 CDs,
enough to keep any AIO fan entertained. I have no other
details at this point, but keep visiting in the days ahead!
I'd like to get some product pages up with plenty of
information as it becomes available for this and the
aforementioned releases. You never know what you're going to
get with Odyssey!

June/July
Airing Schedules
Today I've updated our
Schedule page with the episodes
that are coming up early this summer: June and July. In the
past we had posted that we'd be hearing "The Best of the
Washington Family" beginning June 20th, but the lineup has
now been changed to "The Best Small Town" which includes all
the episodes from the collection titled
The Best Small Town
(appropriately enough). We have a nice lineup of summer of
shows planned by our friends at Focus, all leading up to an
exciting release of Darien's Rise, which begins
airing September 19. From the way things are sounding, the
audio collection for Darien's Rise will be available
as the series begins on the radio, so it'll be nice to get
your copy early if you can't wait. Or if you can wait,
listen to the shows and then buy the collection. It's your
call. So check out the upcoming
Schedule and keep up on what's happening soon!
