Kidsboro
Sampler
Today
I've added the final back cover to the upcoming
Kidsboro
sampler for release in July 2009. Visit our
product page
to see them. As usual, this Adventures in Odyssey
sampler will contain a $3 rebate on a future purchase of AIO.
It's definitely a good bargain for all Odyssey collectors
out there. If you like Kidsboro and the books recently
released, then you won't want to miss out on the future AIO
episodes dealing with the kids in Kidsboro in the days
ahead. It looks like Kidsboro is here to stay on the
program. Be sure to send Focus on the Family your thoughts,
suggestions, etc., because they want to hear from you
regarding the future of the show. After all, it's the fans
who keep the show alive!

Podcast
Highlights
Even though no new AIO shows will be airing until September
19, 2009, we have been blessed by the podcast world.
Yesterday, the
Ceiling Fan released their 14th podcast. It's
certainly a fun edition, written by Mark Jones this time.
Having listened from the perspective of someone who studied
broadcasting for two years, I don't want you to miss any
shows from this stupendous fan favorite. As for the
Unofficial Podcast, the second half of their
roundtable discussion concludes in their 53rd podcast.
You'll hear more discussion on Passages and
interesting tidbits from the fans. Stay tuned for future
podcasts from these two popular fan AIO podcasts.

Bookstore
Window
A
few weeks ago I promised I'd eventually post a picture of
what I've been doing on campus this semester. Currently I'm
taking Advertising Design II and was designated as project
manager of the designing, building, and setting up of the
college's bookstore window display. We had to tackle a Bible
Conference theme, so our group decided on a "get refreshed"
headline with images of water mixed in with students looking
refreshed. This is the window that resulted. Our team worked
together well and ultimately, the bookstore manager was
pleased. And that's a good thing when you're being graded!
And when you're the manager, having people cooperate with
one another is very important! To see a larger view of
the window, click
here.
Stay tuned for more updates.
You never know what you'll get here at the Scoop.

Airing
Schedules
A couple days ago, I updated
our Schedule section with the
airing schedules for both April and May 2009, but other
updates just seemed too high priority to mention at the
moment. Not only that, you can see what's coming up on
weekends from here on out until September. Click
here to see the upcoming
schedules. We'll be getting a nice review of Passages
until Darien's Rise begins airing on September 19! An
official season of new episodes in the mainstream series
will begin airing in 2010. Does that seem too far away? Nah.
It'll be here before we all know it. Besides, we've got Passages to keep us busy and several
Adventures in
Odyssey repacks coming up. It sounds like a good time to
catch up on your collection. Be watching our
Schedule in the days ahead for
updates.

Get the Scoop
on Facebook!
I
guess there's nothing wrong with getting more publicity,
right? I'm sure many, if not all of you know about facebook,
the online social networking site that has swept the nation
almost overnight. I've been a member on there since before
it was popular. That was during the days when it was only
limited to college students and didn't have advertisements
on the side. Now, I'm excited to present
The Odyssey Scoop Facebook group which you're more
than welcome to join. Feel free to start a topic, submit
suggestions, etc. I just opened up the group last night and
it's growing fast. And a link will always be present on the
left side of our homepage for easy access.
Also today,
The Ceiling Fan Podcast has released their exclusive
behind-the-scenes audio clip for the
Novacom Saga
collection. If you listened to the first three, you won't
want to miss this final installment before the product
releases this April! Four clips are available in total
throughout the various fan websites, and you can find links
to all four (one of which is ours) at our
product page.
Enjoy!

Novacom Saga
Audio Sample
Today I'm pleased to share a
special bonus audio clip which will be featured in the
Novacom Saga
collection! Head on over to our product page to hear a
little sampling of what you'll get to experience if you buy
AIO's biggest mini-plot set. We're getting closer to the
release date of this exciting fan favorite and you won't
want to miss out on all the behind-the-scenes goodies that
this set provides. So go
check out that
audio clip!
Also we've provided some links
to a few other audio samples that have sprung up on other
AIO sites on the net. This is going to be good!

The Ceiling
Fan Podcast CFNN Edition
The Ceiling Fan
Podcast just keeps hopping with more and more
surprises along the way. On Wednesday they released a
special Ceiling Fan News Network (CFNN) edition of
the podcast:
Enjoy a nice
little surprise segment from the folks at the Ceiling Fan
News Network. Step outside the usual format of the biweekly
show as Ethan Daniels responds to some online Odyssey fan
world drama.
While you're there, you may
also want to check out their very first edition of
The Tadpole
Audio Series, which just hit the net. I've
discovered that anything Tadpole Radio puts together is
worth a listen and you really do never know what to expect!

Official Podcast #64
Lately
there has been a lot of questions posed over at
The Town of Odyssey
message boards regarding whether or not we'd be hearing Passages audio episodes in the future and what that
means for the show. Well, on today's
Official Podcast,
the producers answer your questions! I'm looking forward to
hearing it as well.
Will there be any more
‘Passages’ audio dramas? When will new episodes premiere?
Producers answer your questions.
I for one want to find out!

The Unofficial
Podcast #52
Today, the
Unofficial
Podcast has released their 52nd podcast. This
edition explores the future of Adventures in Odyssey
as we don't know it, as well as the "awesomeness" of
Canada. I've always been a big fan of this podcast,
particularly because it was the first unofficial podcast
that popped up on the internet since OdysseyRadio. If you
don't know what OdysseyRadio was, it was an audio show about
AIO, but more talk show-style. It wasn't technically a
podcast since it came before the term podcast was
invented. It was a big hit in its day. If you missed out on
that craze, let's just say we've got plenty of podcasts
floating around now. There's nothing to miss out on now. So
go on over and listen to the latest podcast!

The Town of
Odyssey
I don't know about you, but
I've always enjoyed quietly keeping up with AIO news via
The Town of Odyssey
message boards. Apparently, on Wednesday this week, the
administrators of the board changed my name to "Toothbrush
Cowboy" and required that I wear this badge of honor for at
least 24 hours. I feel so privileged! It's been over 24
hours already, but I guess I'll keep the name for a little
bit longer. So if you're wondering who Toothbrush Cowboy is,
now you know. It's me. And I'm wearing my badge of honor,
but not for very long. Thanks, administrators!

3D Shots of
Upcoming Releases!
I don't know about you, but
I'm getting especially excited about the release of
Adventures in Odyssey
Live! this May and
Novacom Saga
in April! Today, if you head over to the appropriate product
pages, you'll notice I've updated with several 3D views of
the products. AIO Live features die cuts, something
that really enhances the coolness of the product. For those
of you who aren't familiar with die cuts, an example of one
are the letters L, V, and E cut out from the title. From a
graphic design perspective, die cuts can really add to the
beauty of a piece if used appropriately. And AIO has really
impressed us this time. You won't want to miss out on these
new photos of these upcoming releases to see what's in
either product.
As for showing you that
Bookstore window display I mentioned last Wednesday, I
haven't forgotten about it. Everything went well for the
most part. The best thing is that the project is over with
and now I can move on to other things. I'm still waiting
around for a chance to take a good picture of it or at least
get a digital copy of the design file. Then I can show the
world. Keep checking back!
