Adventures in Odyssey
Repacks
Adventures in Odyssey albums
never looked the same throughout the years... until now. By releasing albums 1-50 again
with a fresh design and new artwork, fans can enjoy a more consistent look
to the series in their collections.
Why is the Gold Audio
Series being replaced?
As you know, albums 1-15 are currently called The Gold Audio Series. They
were put together during a time when everyone was catching
on to the Digital Age and upgrading their products with cool
titles like "digitally remastered." AIO released albums 1-15
as the Gold Audio Series when they phased out cassette releases for the show.
However, now that we've all been drifting through the
Digital Age for a while now, it's time to switch things up
even more. Focus is repackaging
the Gold Audio Series albums with the typical arches and rays layout that
we've become so familiar with in all the repacks. The illustration will remain
the same in most cases, but the arches and layout will be changed. It's
all part of an effort to create a more consistent look for the series.
That's right. The Gold
Audio Series is way out the door. It served its purpose
during a time when companies were getting up with the
industry standard.
How do I distinguish a new design from an
old design when purchasing albums?
Basically, understanding the layout of the covers to
repacked albums helps you determine. Typically, the back cover features
episode listing on the left, along with a What is Adventures in Odyssey
and album summary areas in the middle. An illustration of one album is
on the right.
Please
refer to the sample album repack at the right for clarification.
-
Look for a white oval around the Adventures in Odyssey logo.
-
Each album features colored rays at the top and bottom headers of the
front cover. The color varies from album to album. Popular colors are
red, blue, green, orange, and purple. Curved lines of varying colors are
also attached to separate the rays from the album cover.
-
Check the top right corner of the album. Each repack specifies that the
collection features "Over 4 hours of audio entertainment" or something
similar.
-
All illustrations for album repacks are cartoon/caricature-style art.
Art style is consistent from album to album.
Why are album repacks released out of
order?
Because of current sales and stock levels of
each product, release dates are tentative and subject to change. See
tentative schedule below.
We do not have release dates for every album as some of the tentative
release dates have passed and we do not have an updated listing.
How can I find copies of the repacks?
Because of current sales and stock levels of
each product, release dates are tentative and subject to change.
-
Visit your local Christian bookstore. Use the example above as a guide.
-
Order albums online. Unfortunately, the album repacks share the same
ISBN number as the older album releases. Because of this,
it is recommended that you call, email, or write
to the company you order from to confirm that they have the newest
edition. Sometimes a website will provide an older cover art
when they have the new edition in stock. Or, a new cover is posted but
they only have the older edition in their inventory.

Refer to our Repack Titles Already Available list
below to see which albums
have been already released. If a repack has been out for 1-2 years, it
will be easier to obtain a certain collection.
