Today makes my first
official weekend away from school and I have already been noticing the
pull. I have very little time for this website, sadly, and it looks like
things will be slowing down significantly. :( If I ever conquer my
server problem I will be able to add new stuff to the website, but as it
stands now... it's a no-go there. I plan on purchasing hosting soon so
I'll be freed from this prison once again! ;) Actually it's not really a
prison...

Well, nothing seems to be
happening today, so I guess I have nothing to report. :(

Town Hall vs. AIO Mole
Board. What's going on here? Right now the Town Hall message board is
down, so what does that leave for the AIO fans? Well it looks like the
Mole Board is becoming popular and may possibly replace the Town Hall.
Be sure to post a message and get your voice heard! :) To access the
mole board, visit The Soda
Fountain.
Go vote in the
new poll above!

August 28, 2002
Well, I managed to survive
my first day of school yesterday. In my update for yesterday I said that
I will be updating in the afternoon. Well, I have half-changed my mind.
Yesterday morning I had time to upload my update, so it's possible that
I will have time to update early as usual. If some day you notice that I
haven't updated (like today) then you'll know that I overslept or just didn't have
enough time, and my update will commence later that day. I am in a
typing class this semester, so I may be able to update at school.
For now, go vote in the
new poll above.
Tuesday,
August 27, 2002
Well, it's time to
conclude our poll that we had running for a while. Here's the results!
I know this poll was
well... stale and bland, but it wasn't to me! You see, when you make
websites you have to try to conform your pages to fit well with ANY
screen resolution, which this page doesn't. This page used to, but when
I change designs and such I sometimes forget to keep things in mind. The
entire website conforms to every resolution, but this page doesn't. It
is necessary for you to know that this
website is best viewed in 1024x768 screen resolution. To change it, right-click on
your Desktop>Properties>Settings>Then adjust your screen area. It's
amazing how much more you'll like your computer once you adjust to 1024
x 768!
AIO Mole news is in! The
AIO Mole Board is finally up and working again. Be sure to register a
username and post away!
Today makes my first day
of school so that is why my update was posted late in the day. In fact,
now that school has begun everyone will have to adjust to Scoop-Time,
meaning that you won't have the convenience of reading my updates in the
morning anymore. :( Some mornings I might get motivated to upload but
most of the time it will be an afternoon deal. Sorry for the
inconvenience. It is truly sad. I am in public school and the 7:30 a.m.
deadline wears on me each day.
Also today I would like to
announce that the AIO Season Countdown you have been seeing at the top
of the page is removed until I can figure out what's wrong. For now,
check out the updated countdown anywhere else on the website below the
navigation bar.

August 26, 2002
This information was just
released at the AIO HQ
website. Many are wondering what the new season will be about and here
is a sneak peek:
The
new season will do some "traditional shows" along with its
main emphasis on the post-Novacom storyarc.
Two
new families will be introduced, along with an African-American family.
Connie
and Mitch will be thinking about the future of their relationship
(season opener).
Bernard
will be back for many episodes in the new season! Also of
interest is that he and Whit will be going on a diet together (written
by Kathy Wierenga).
Aubrey's
new Christianity will be tested. (written by Bob Hoose)
Upcoming
Episodes: "B-TV: Bible," "For the Fun of It,"
"The Benefit of the Doubt," "The Pact I & II,"
"For Trying Out Loud," and "Live at the 25". More to
be announced.
Also if you're an AIO Mole
fan, they were having server troubles but now the HQ has donated some
webspace! The new link to the AIO Mole is
http://www.aiohq.com/aiomole/index.html.
Today I share my birthday
with Hal Smith (the old Whit)! Also of interest... Travis Tedford (Alex
Jefferson) almost shares the same birthday with Hal and me. His birthday
is August 19th. :) Are there any other birthdays in August that I don't
know about? :) Also I found it sort of unique that in today's episode,
"Do, for a Change", Zachary's mom mentions that today is her
husband's birthday. :)
Also today I added a new
Scoop poll above, so be sure to vote!
Tomorrow I will update with the results from our last poll.
Sunday,
August 25, 2002
So... you're all probably
wondering what is happening with the website. As I said a few days ago
at the top of the screen, we are having major server troubles and I
really really doubt if I'll be able to log in to my FTP program...
a.k.a. I can't upload anything to the website. Eek! Right now I am
checking into a new server and hope to have the problems fixed soon. For
now if you plan on looking around the website, type
http://www.aiobc.com/~jisom/News.htm
in your browser while I conquer this horrible bad guy.
Today I updated this
week's schedule below.
Saturday,
August 24, 2002
If
you didn't notice yet, the AIO HQ has posted two articles, one by
OdysseyFan and the other by Katie Kemple. The articles prove to be an
interesting read. If you were wondering how the "Live and the
25" went, then be sure to read the articles, and also check out all
the exclusive pictures of the AIO team! I was surprised to see how much
everyone has changed through the years! The most surprising picture I
saw was Townsend Coleman (Jason Whittaker) who in fact has changed his
hairdo significantly! ;) You'll see what I mean as you visit the
AIO
HQ.
I updated the
"Website Spotlight" below
and the "Reality Game Shows" below
with a black color. Also below I decided to show you my signature which
I will post whenever I update. Like it?
Friday,
August 23, 2002
Well it looks as if things
aren't going well in the AIO Mole world. The server is down, and if you
were planning on posting messages at the Mole Board today, you may want
to wait on that because a "Forbidden" message pops up, not
allowing you to enter.
In other news, I have been
thinking and pondering on what I should do about my daily updates. As of
now I have updated EVERY SINGLE day this year! That's why it makes me
undecisive to the fact that I am considering only updating every two
days or so. Frankly, and most of the time, I don't have any news to
report. Everyone e-mail me
on what I should do. My decision will be made before September. Also in
case you are wondering about our server troubles... yes, we are still
having problems. In order to access the rest of the website type in
www.aiobc.com/~jisom.
Thursday,
August 22, 2002
Well, I have now returned
back to normalcy. I had never ever been to Chicago before and didn't
realize how loud and busy it is there! We drove a six-hour drive to
Chicago to drop off my sister who will be entering her first year of
college at Moody Bible Institute. It was nice to see some of the people
I hear on the radio all the time.
For now, a sad
announcement you HAVE to read is in Wednesday's update.
Wednesday,
August 21, 2002
Server troubles are what we least desire! I am sorry to announce that as of this moment, all the links on this website do not work. I had to switch servers just so you can read daily updates. I am currently working on the problem and hope to have it fixed soon. To access the rest of the website try aiobc.com/~jisom in your browser. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Tuesday,
August 20, 2002
Due to circumstances
beyond my control, this website will not be updated for one to two days.
I might be able to update, so keep checking back just in case I
do update. For now, read yesterday's update which was so fortunately cut
off by my server yesterday.
Monday,
August 19, 2002
Have
you noticed a common denominator over the past three days? Well today
makes the third day in a row that I talk about the AIO Mole game. My
reason of course being a stupid one today. If you haven't been to the
Mole Board yet you should go over and get an account. It's a lot of fun
to hang out over there for two reasons:
1)
It's fun to speculate on who the mole is and 2) Strange conversations
arise. What I mean when I say strange conversations is what I mean when
I say strange conversations! I, being a loyal fan of AIO Mole, went to
the message board to write down my thoughts on who the mole is... so I
did. I came to the conclusion that Margaret Faye is indeed the mole
simply because I didn't know yet. This came out in my post. "I bet
my... er... cookies on Margaret Faye." Meaning: I was about to say
my life was being bet on her but then I don't even know who the mole is
so why not give up a cookie or two?
A couple replies forced
themselves onto the Mole Board, along with that image you see above,
appropriately designed. Margaret Faye's silhouette stands prominent with
some sort of "side-of-the-head" headware, otherwise known as a
cookie!
So if you have learned one
thing from this update today... Go to the Mole Board either by visiting
Odyssey
Talk or The Soda
Fountain... and avoid talking about cookies and chocolate bars
(which I failed to mention) at all costs!

August 18, 2002
Today
I've added a little flash intro thingy (click on the AIO Mole image at
the top of the page to see it... no it isn't the one you see there
looking all pretty at the right... it's at the top). I like it a lot!
Thanks to Jared Walczak who made it for us! The only exciting update for
today is that the Schedule for this week
has been updated below and also information about the secret that was
announced yesterday, only today I actually revealed
it on the site.
Saturday,
August 17, 2002
Welcome to the day that we
all find out what is going on! I am proud to announce that
Over the past few weeks we
have waited, had emotional breakdowns, and have generally been bugged
over the nagging question, "What are the secrets?" Today is
the day that all your frustrations are ended. Head over to both
The
Soda Fountain and
Odyssey
Talk to discover what those secrets are. I will be posting
information on what the secret actually is on the left sidebar tomorrow.
For now, admire what I have posted under "Secrets"
below.
Oh by the way, technically
the secrets were revealed a week ago, although many of you let it slip
through your fingers. Allow me to explain.
In Tuesday, August 13th's
update below, I casually mentioned one
sentence: Jared, telling everyone on the message board that Shadowpaw
is guilty is just as valuable as me broadcasting to the world that I
have a mole on the back of my neck! That sentence, in fact, was a
clue to what the secret is, as you'll discover. Also I decided to give
you guys one more chance before the secret was revealed to see if you
would catch onto the secret. Yesterday
I proceeded to talk about a yellow highlighter. If you didn't notice,
that update was rather odd and pointless. But everything has a point and
so did that update! Throughout the update there are a total of three
italicized words. If you caught on, those three italicized words gave a
clue, if read in order: Highlight...this...page. What??? Not only
did I give small hints in my updates but I also put hidden messages on
the page?
To be honest, yeah, I did.
A total of three places on this website gave away what the secret was
about. These three hidden messages were up for a total of 5 days, enough
time to reveal the secret to anyone who was bored enough to highlight
the page. Hint: Try highlighting the top of the page, under the left
sidebar, and at the bottom of the page. Also Shadowpaw added a hidden
clue at the bottom of his website for a few days as well. So if you're
feeling like we stumped you, then we know we did our job. So check out
those secrets, but don't highlight this page UNTIL you know what the
secrets are! Visit Odyssey
Talk and The Soda
Fountain!
Friday, August 16, 2002
I have nothing to talk
about today, so I decided to talk about something today. For if you have
nothing to talk about, then obviously have something to talk about
because if you say you have nothing to talk about you're actually
talking about something!
Anyways, today I'd like to
talk to you about what I tend to do. Let's say I just made a job
list that's ten miles in length. Obviously you understand that there's
no way that I am going to manage to finish all those jobs in one day...
so I crack out my yellow highlighter! I pick and choose which jobs I
think are the most important. So there I am, highlighter in hand,
picking and choosing which jobs are the most important. I continue to highlight,
not write, the list of jobs to be done. All of a sudden, something
breaks. It is in fact, the highlighter! What am to do? Not only does the
highlighter break, the ink from the highlighter splatters all over this
list! The list in which I had spent hours writing so I could spend more
hours cleaning! Now I am left with a soggy, one-mile page, and
the page is covered in yellow ink. Oh man! I also tend to use
highlighters on my list of Odyssey products... it's a way to keep track
of what's going on, and it doesn't require a one-mile list.
Exactly why did I just
write that? I guess I just started rambling as I usually do. Moral of
the story: don't trust highlighters. They break and you have yellow
stuff everywhere. Good thing it didn't explode on any Odyssey albums! Be sure to
try out the new poll above.
Thursday, August 15, 2002
Things are rather slow on
all the AIO sites this week. Nobody's really updating with anything
interesting to see. Remember to keep checking back, especially Saturday
to find out what all the secrets are! For now, vote in that new poll
above.
I made some headway on
that new Character Summaries section yesterday. Instead of placing the
section over in Misc, I'll probably add a
new section altogether. It looks like it's going to be a lot of work on
my part and hopefully I'll have the patience to finish!
Wednesday, August 14, 2002
Yesterday I was browsing
around several Adventures in Odyssey websites and finally ended up at
The
Information Station. That website was up for a while in 1999 or
2000, then the webmaster gave up on it. People tend to visit websites
only when they're updated, and the Information Station is one of those
AIO sites that just doesn't make it. If you've never seen the site check
it out. Try to ignore Geocities' ads. Also another AIO site you may want
to check out is The AIO
Gallery, which has some 3D pictures of Adventures in Odyssey.
Don't forget about the new
poll posted above to the right!
Tuesday, August 13, 2002
I'm sure many of you (if
not all of you) have heard the rumors dealing with the
"secrets" that seem to have appeared so magically on
The
Soda Fountain and
Odyssey
Talk in the past few days. Well not only have the two websites
been secretive about things, it looks like things have taken a turn for
the worst. In both Shadowpaw's and Jared Walczak's updates for the past
three days, a mysterious paragraph pops up on the agenda for the day.
Now the question I have to ask is... Why are these short paragraphs
on two websites?! I decided to do a little dirt-digging, but to my
convenient surprise, the
Town
Hall was already lighting up like a Christmas tree, questions
arising and odd happenings emerging. What did I see at the Town Hall?
Allow me to clarify. The following
is an excerpt of what Shadowpaw wrote at the Town Hall:
I wish I knew what
was going on at my site, but I really don't know. I didn't know I had
even updated today and then saw that posted there... I can only assume
Jared did it because I haven't been anywhere near the Soda Fountain in
the past 24 hours. Hopefully this will clear up soon. Sorry about the
inconvience... It looks like I've figured out the IP of the person who
posted information on my site... but it doesn't belong anyone on this
board (as far as I know). The worst part is that I can't seem to
replace the index page of my site... it gets rejected by my ftp.
This seemed to be a
logical explanation, and Jared's followup seemed to coincide, responded
by Jared Walczak:
Your site was boring
[referring to Shadowpaw]. So I helped you out a little, that's all!
You can't blame me for that! It's not like I put anything bad on it!
And as for changing the password to block your access, well, your
nonsense did not deserve a place on this page. Your rights to that
website have been revoked until further notice.
The next thing I read
changed my pattern of thinking, as posted by Jared again:
Well, actually, I
didn't post anything on his site, or at least I won't admit to it.
Perhaps Shadowpaw ran out of column update ideas and stole mine. Being
around longer and having some credibility, he thought he could get
away with accusing ME of hacking into his site!
Right, Shadowpaw?
Shadowpaw's reply really
changed my thinking, as you'll now see.
Hehe... you're a
smart one Jared. I had nothing to post for news yesterday and saw your
absolutely absurd update on Odyssey Talk. I thought I'd put it on my
site as well, even though I don't think it makes any sense. I have no
new for the rest of the week.. so be prepared to see a lot of this
type of information stealing going on.
Now I must ask this to
whoever is reading... Why would someone on an AIO site hack into
someone's account and take control of their website? Could it be that
Jared was jealous of Shadowpaw's website and has been planning an attack
for months, or could it be the other way around. The message board posts
prove that something is going on, for, the accusations and confessions
do not match up! First Jared looks to be guilty, now Shadowpaw is
guilty. Jared, telling everyone on the message board that Shadowpaw is
guilty is just as valuable as me broadcasting to the world that I have a
mole on the back of my neck! What you said was pointless! And Shadowpaw,
I can say the same thing to you. What are your secrets? Who hacked into
whose website? Was it an act of plagiarism and are we ever going to
place the blame where it really belongs? For now, all of you who are in
the dark, why not keep checking these two websites to see what is going
on?
In other news, I just
added a new poll at the top of this page. I need everyone to vote in it.
Monday, August 12, 2002
Today I decided to close
the "In the Know..." poll which has been above for the past
two weeks or less. Below are the results.
In
the Know... Poll |
When
you listen to Sound Clips, which format do you listen in? [32
votes total] |
RealAudio
(24) |
75% |
Windows
Media Player (8) |
25% |
I wasn't surprised at all
by the voting range because I know that the majority of people who
listen usually do so in Realplayer. Also the factor of having to
download the Windows Media Player version of the
Sound
Clips can add to that, so it wasn't shocking to see what people
voted for. In the light of this poll, I have made my decision. If you
have been wondering... no, I will not be removing the Windows Media
Player versions off this site... well at least for now. Don't forget
about this month's Poll
at Polls & Forums.
Also today, upon request,
I have removed Michael Kelton's interview from the
Interviews
page. I enjoyed reading his interview but he decided he doesn't want it
anymore. :( If you would like to be interviewed, click
here.
Sunday, August 11, 2002
Boy,
if yesterday wasn't action-packed around here! I hadn't actually read my
Extra Extra article until it was
posted on the website, so I was startled by how funny I made it! If you
missed all the exciting updates yesterday be sure to read through
yesterday's update. And... listen to episode
3 of my drama series! :) Today I updated "This Week's
Schedule" on the left sidebar of this page in case you're wondering
what's playing.
Speaking of drama series's...
I just realized yesterday that I haven't added any Character Bios of
Adventures in Odyssey characters since I opened the site! Yesterday I
started working on the Whittaker family bios and completed those. I hope
to provide some rather odd yet fitting pictures to go with some of the
characters. It may be a while before I finish, but I just thought I'd
let you know. The picture above is an ALMOST exclusive picture of Jason
that will appear. I've got tons more of those up my sleeve.
Saturday, August 10, 2002
Well if you haven't
noticed already, the Odyssey Scoop just lit up like a Christmas tree
today. Unlike my usual updates, this one is a handful! I have been
preparing to release this stuff for a while so I hope you enjoy it. :)
Today over in
Extra
Extra I have actually posted an article written by me! It's
called "Saying Good Bye to the Novacom Saga," and it's rather
odd so it's definitely worth reading. I just realized that I haven't
written an Extra Extra in a long time. Also today you'll notice that I
answered all the fans' questions that were submitted recently to
AIO
FAQ. So if you asked an AIO FAQ, it will be amongst the 11 that
are there. If you've been wondering about Eugene's return to Odyssey and
are also wondering what Katrina looks like, don't miss it! I got a bit
carried away with some of the answers and makes what I hope to be an
enjoyable read. :) While you're there, don't forget to check out the new
logo for AIO FAQ.
As you surf the Scoop
today, you'll also see that I have updated
Interviews
with 9 more interviews! Whoa! Over in interviews you'll see my interview
with Corey Burton and Adam Pavlakovich. So if you asked Adam a question,
now's the time to see how he answered! Both interviews are very
interesting and so are the 7 other fans' interviews with: James
Brunskill, Avalon, Justin, Alyson McGowan, Emily, Anonymous, and
Princess Lizzie! I once again redesigned the Interviews logo too... you
can see a little bit of it above.
Finally, getting to the
last updates that I've done today. Some of you will be glad to know that
episode 3: "Love and Addicting Over-the-Counter Drugs" (Don't
be fooled by the odd name) of "The Love and... CHRONICLES" is
now posted over at Sound Clips! This
time it's a musical so you won't want to miss it! And the last thing on
the agenda for today as you'll read in AIO FAQ,
I updated the Actors & Crew section
with Pamela Hayden's picture. Phew!
Keep in mind that the
Eugene-Speak
forum ends at the beginning of September, and I am unhappy to announce
that only 6 people have participated this month! That means we need at
least 4 more people to participate. Participate now or this might now
work! Also of note, I added a search engine to this site. Whenever you
can't find something just search for a keyword and it should lead you to
something...
So don't listen to me
ramble! You've got lots of things to go see now! I'm sorry if you keep
having to refer to this page to remember all the updates. :( I just
wanted to post everything at the same time. :) It'd be easier to look at
the 'Site Updates' column at the top of this page whenever you come back
after visiting something. :) Enjoy!

A
few months ago on the Town Hall, a big controversy arose about a kid
named Jared Walczak. I don't remember the details but everyone wanted
him to reveal what he looks like by posting a photo on his now
non-existent OdysseyRadio site. The winds of time have gone by since
then and now Jared has a new internet show,
Odyssey
Talk. Even so, the fans are getting weary and anxious to know
what Jared looks like. I think it's time that Jared posted his picture
on his website! What kinds of tactics can we try on Jared to get him to
reveal his picture? Bribe him? Blackmail him?
For the past year or so
that picture at the right is a good way to describe how I imagined Jared
Walczak. Is that how any of you imagined his picture? I decided that
today I would post how I imagined his picture for too long, until one
day... Jared showed me his picture! If you never actually imagined what
Jared Walczak looks like, why not imagine him like that?
Thursday, August 8, 2002
Well it's been so long
since the Scoop has had a new Extra! Extra!
article written by me, the ScoopMaster, and it now looks like I am
finally going to post one! Hopefully this Saturday there will be a new
article to enjoy, along with those AIO FAQ
questions that a bunch of you submitted. I am making my last minute
touchups on the article and AIO FAQ, so if you have an odd question
about AIO, ask away by emailing me at
AskMeSomething@odysseyscoop.com.
Get your question in by Friday night at the latest. Be sure to put
"AIO FAQ" in the subject line of your email so we're on the
same brainwave.
For now, vote in the new
Poll
if you haven't already and look forward to the next drama of "The
Love and... CHRONICLES" on Saturday!

Now
will you just look at the picture of the 500th episode CD at the right?
About a week or so ago I started a mini-thread at the Town Hall stating
my opinion about the pre-released compact disc case which will be
available in October. Talk about an ugly cover! Not one person who
replied to my post admitted to liking the CD cover. Not one said that it
looked great. I'm not saying that the design looks BAD, I am only saying
that the design is okay. I'm sure a lot of you agree with me that this
cover looks bad and I'm not saying that it's wrong to think it looks
cool. Maybe it's just me. I don't particularly like that puke-green
color that looks like a bad attempt at a website navigation bar. I also
don't like that little black rectangle in the upper left-hand corner of
the CD either. Why is it there? Does it need to be there?
Another thing about the CD
case that bothers me is... these are all repeated pictures! I can't
stand looking at those CHEESY, UGLY, OVERUSED pictures, some of which
are used in the complete guide and on those cheesy Odyssey samplers.
Also a thing that bugs me about OVERUSING Odyssey characters such as the
ones above, the fact that most of them are video characters bugs me! I
talked to a reliable source and most likely the cover art above is
probably not the final cover. Unless it is. Afterall, is it worth paying
an artist to design a cover for a $1.99 CD? I think not.

Not much to say today. If
you missed the poll results of July's poll check out yesterday's update.
In my update yesterday I mentioned I'd make a poll "whenever I feel
like posting the next one." "Whenever" sure came fast
because yesterday afternoon I put up a new
Poll.
Also today I was going to put of Drama 3 of "The Love and...
CHRONICLES," but I guess that'll just have to wait. Don't forget to
try out this month's Eugene-Speak
Forum!
Monday, August 5, 2002
Upon request last Saturday I have now
updated the Schedule page of this site. I was having
some trouble getting the episode information for this month. Nobody's updating!
Also today I closed this month's poll and
the results are below:
As it turns out, fans tied for the two top
chioces with 30% each. I was surprised that 3% of you (1 person) voted for "Bring
back the slice-of-life shows," seeing as how you guys seem to like those episodes the
best. Don't forget to participate in this month's
Eugene-Speak
contest and our next monthly poll whenever I feel like posting the next one!
Sunday, August 4, 2002
I was recently approached about hosting
another contest, and I was surprised at myself because I came up with a contest idea
within that day! I stumbled across my idea as I listened to Odyssey, and it's one of those
types of ideas that comes into an odd mind. I was sitting and listening to an episode (I
will not mention which episode because that would give the contest answer away) when I
heard something that you just don't notice. It's one of those details of an adventure that
your ears hear, but don't listen to.
Now you're asking, "What are you
talking about?" Well in a few days I will reveal this little tidbit of information
over in Contests when the contest begins... and it'll be
a free-for-all to reveal the winner.
Late yesterday I added a poll at the top of
this page. Go ahead and vote in it. It will help me to make a decision, but only vote
once! Some people have discovered how to vote more than once and it isn't fair to those
who vote and the person who makes the poll. Also I have updated the Schedule for this week
at the left column on this page. The Blackgaard Saga begins this week in case you haven't
heard it.

Chicken Soup. Chicken Soup
for the Soul. Chicken Soup for the AIO Soul? Since it has been over a month and a half
since the white "Scoop" opened up, many of you have been wondering when the
Chicken Soup section will open up. Well I just mentioned the full title earlier. Chicken
Soup for the AIO Soul! Now what on earth will this section reveal? Let's take a sneak peek
at the 5 mini-sections you'll see in this section:
Stories: This section
is kind of obvious! It will contain stories, some one paragraph each, and some at least a
page long!
Articles: Yes, we'll
have a mini-article section devoted to "The Odyssey Tattler," in print rather
than in RealAudio! We may have some other articles as well.
Poetry:
What... you
think I don't like poetry? There'll be a few surprises in there along with my poem,
Qumran
With Me.
Culture: I'm not sure
what to put in this section but your ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Reflection:
This
section I am also not sure what to do with, but your ideas would be greatly appreciated as
well.
I give you this sneak peek
for two reasons. 1) You will now have something to look forward to, and 2) I need help! If
you are interested in submitting a poem, an article, or ideas for those two
unaccounted-for sections, please send any ideas through the online
Contact Us section or email us
at jacob@odysseyscoop.com. It's also
interesting to point out that the navigation bar in this mini-section will seem rather...
ODD to you.
Also of note, "Best of
the Barlays" 3 is on today, this time it is "Two Sides to Every Story."

Today I was just talking to Jared Walczak of
Odyssey Talk, and what seemed
like a harmless conversation blew way out of proportion. What I say when I say
proportion
is that our conversation led to an idea popping into Jared's head for an Odyssey Talk
update. Check his site tomorrow for the update. I sat there, staring at the creepy picture
of Whit at the top of this page as I thought about what I would type for today's update,
and the thought came to me. No, I wouldn't talk about Jared, nor would I talk about the
creepy Whit picture above, I would talk about Focus on the Family... the show! Yesterday
on FOTF Chuck Bolte, one of the AIO guys who used to be around, talked a bit about Hal
Smith. He also mentioned starting Adventures in Odyssey, and it made for quite an
interesting half hour. You can listen at
OnePlace
today if you missed the broadcast of Focus on the Family.
For now, I added a link to Trina's site to
sign the Will Ryan Petition.
If interested, sign it!

Well, today makes the first
day of August. That means that the "Back to School" commercials and sales start
up like a rampage!
Since it
is the first
day of August I decided yesterday to finally get around to working on that
Merchandise section that I have been slacking off on for
the past few weeks. Today I updated the section with the Videos and DVD's sections. Now
that I have listed every single album, video, book, and DVD, I hope to expand even more
and delve into such things as the kids books, action figures, and that stuff. Check out
Merchandise!
Also of interest I added the
cover art of the 500th Enhanced CD at the left.
