Matt Maly
How long have you been a fan of Adventures in Odyssey?
I've been listening to Adventures
in Odyssey for about eight years. (remember, I'm only 13) My brothers and
sisters listened and you know how little kids are, of course I wanted to be just
like them. I got more and more into it until I was a bigger fan then them. I
started making the family collection my collection and now (with three or four
of my brother's and sister's) it totals 34 albums.
What is your favorite episode of all time?
My favorite Episode of all time is
"First Hand Experience" in "Wish You Were Here." I really like the whole album.
One of the best lines in all of Odyssey has to be, "Is it corn?" "I don't want
to play anymore!"
What is your favorite AIO web site?
odysseyscoop.com of course, I
really love it! Whitsend.org is just too little-kiddish (as it should be, the
show is aimed at them) and other adult fan sites just don't compare. I used to
use aiohq.com but the Scoop has twice the content and is more interesting to
read.
If you could meet one actor, who would you meet and why?
If I could meet one actor or
actress it would be Katie Leigh. From commentary and bloopers she sounds really
funny. She has also been around for a long time and knows a lot about AIO. I
would love to meet all of them though and luckily if I met one I probably could
meet them all.
Which character do you resemble the most and why?
I hate to be so new-school, but
Wooton Bassett. We're both oversized kids. I hope I never get that horrible
thing called "growing up", and I think Wooton would say the same thing. Heck,
I'll be listening to a radio drama made for 8-12 year olds for the rest of my
life. He's also a good Godly man which I hope to be.
Who is your favorite character and why?
My favorite Character is Wooton
Basset. Probably because of my answer to the last question, he's just like me.
He's just so funny. The writers made the perfect character to make funny lines
for. (Uh oh prepositions are not words that I end sentences with) He also has
some great parts, like when he turns the junk vacuum into a ride-on. It matches
his personality perfectly and also is the perfect way to teach a valuable
lesson.
In your opinion, what do I need to change about my website?
That's a hard one, honestly it is
so great already. The only thing I can think of is a search bar.
If you could change anything about AIO, what would it be and why?
I would drop the corny drama and
unrealistic parts. the Imagination Station, Room of Consequence and Transmuter
are all a little bit too unrealistic to relate to, enjoy or even understand
sometimes.
How do you imagine Whit's End and the town of Odyssey?
I imagine Odyssey as a perfect
little town. In my mind Whit's end has the best ice cream in town. Even though I
know it's Victorian, I just don't picture it that way. It's the kind of shop
that a town is built around, like "where's McAllister Park, it's right by Whit's
End." When whit says, "It's a place where kids can be kids" I think he should
say, "It's a place where anybody can be a kid."
If you had your own AIO site, what would you put on it?
If I had my own AIO site I would
put everything that's on the Scoop on it. I'd call it Odyssey.com and instead of
going to the different Whit's End rooms you would go around town, like "Campbell
College", "The Electric Palace," "Greenblatt's Department store," etc.
What is your favorite section of
whitsend.org?
My favorite part of whitsend.org
is Kid's Radio. It's cool that you can search to find a show by so many
different things.
What is your favorite section of the Odyssey Scoop, my site?
My favorite part of the scoop is
Misc. It's full of creative interesting things.
Do you have any
last comments, questions, or suggestions?
It's about time for "Odyssey
Weekly" magazine! Also I think they should sell Odyssey Coyotes baseball caps. I
know I'd buy one.
