What about if Mr. Whittaker becomes a traitor?

Because that is so in-character for him.

I really wouldn't mind too much if Odyssey ended, I think that AIO could end and have some kind of spin-off if done right.

What? In an alternate universe, maybe.

....On the other hand, if given the choice to betray his country or God or the people he loved, he'd choose his country (or at least, his government, if they ordered him to do something wrong). So I guess I could see a scenario where that might happen.

We could have an end-times-like (not necessarily real end-times) saga where the government turns totalitarian and forces Whit and other Christians to choose between following the law and following God.

I would rather have Odyssey end than have a long twilight of substandard episodes. Which happens with shows that are past their prime. On the other hand, Odyssey has show a remarkable resilience, so it could go on for a long time--we'd just have to weather the normal ebb and flow of good, great, and not as good episodes. But all things do come to an end, realistically--so when it does, I want it done right.

So when it ends, it needs to have the saga of all sagas. But that's maybe 20, 30 years in the future yet. :)

Where'd you hear that from? I thought it was only one album per year now.

I looked on AIOWiki and didn't see anything except information about the OAC. Could you point us to a specific article where you found this out?

Ah, I see Focus is redirecting a lot of its efforts into repackaging albums with new artwork that were just rebranded a few years ago. If only some of that gumption was used to make new albums. :(

Odyssey will end, but it can't end with something normal. There will have to be some epic saga! Anybody have any ideas?

Why are we even discussing the end of AIO?

Is there a thread about the timeline of AIO? Because I think that would be really interesting and fun to figure out how it all could fit into a logical timeline. Sort of related to Whit's age. I mean, we can figure out that Eugene is 27 in album 45, because Leonard was lost in Africa for 20 years, and he'd been lost since Eugene was 7. If Eugene was 18 when he came to Odyssey, than it had been 9 years between album 1 and album 45.
That's just one example of how we could figure out a somewhat logical timeline.

Eugene started college when he was 13. In a License to Drive, he stated he's been in college for seven years. Ergo, Eugene is twenty. Seven years later, Album 45.

Ah, yes. Good observation. I think we need to make this a separate thread.

There is an episode where Eugene said he started college when he was fourteen. It's a goof.

I would rather they end it, but I doubt they will. They will likely drive it into the ground by trying to keep it going for as long as they can.
