Jason: Tasha, Monica, or... CONNIE?!?

Why are we humans so obsessed with romantic love? Why does it fill our movies, our songs, our thoughts? It seems obvious. After all, it excites, it brings some of the most passionate, powerful emotions we can feel. We identify with love. For we have experienced it, or will experience it.
But, when we think on romantic love, we think on something that we do not know for certain shall be carried into the afterlife. Shall we experience passion for one particular, special human being there? Or shall our unity as souls adoring God in Heaven bring us so utterly together all romantic love ceases forever?
We don't know.
Personally, I hate the thought of amour ceasing to exist.
One of my best friends, an intelligent cousin of mine, compared it to a child being talked to about marital intimacy as he or she is playing. Suppose he or she asked "Can I play with my toys while I'm doing all that?"
The parent would reply, "Err, I guess you could, but I doubt you'd want to."
In any case, for better or worse, our thoughts are destined to contemplate love a lot. And in our search for love, our experimenting, and wondering, we meet many different individuals who tantalize us with the thought of what might happen if only...
Jason Whittaker. I guess it’s because he’s a government agent AIO has given him more love attachment than any other character. He's been drifting. It started with Tasha...
Why is it most love novels end with the first candidate we met the winner, no matter how many rivals we met later? Perhaps because our emotional attachment goes out to them, and they are the one we first start dreaming and planning will get the victory. In any case, it's almost destined, in fiction, for the first suitor onscreen to be the last one standing. Tasha's a cool girl. She's the fast moving, no-bunk government agent girl in love. I always enjoy Tasha's scenes with Jason. They work together. Yet, they are now only friends. It would be clean, simple, and traditional for Tasha to end up at the altar with Jason. On the other hand, it would also be the redundancy of wishful thinking. In the end, the first go-around is just the first go around. The reality is, it tends to find a lot of tries to find a matching puzzle piece.
Connie. Now, how did she get into this? Well, she's in everything, I guess. I've come across more than one online wish-on-a-star that Connie would marry Jason. Connie, after all, for one episode, did find Jason attractive. Of course, the complication arises that Whit, in a sense, is Connie's adoptive Father. And with Jason being his son and all… However, this fatherhood, is, in the end, an honorary title. But, really. Connie suddenly re-developing a Jason-longing after it's been forgotten, except by some fans, for whole albums? No, thank you.
The final option... Monica Stone. Ohhhh yeah. The lady with a gun who doesn't like guns. A marauder who wanted to help the world. A woman who met Jason to steal from him, and fell in love with him.
One of many tittling aspects of their relationship is it is uncertain just when the heck it started. Just how long did Monica fake it? When did real emotion creep into her thoughts? Did attraction sneak up on her the first time she saw Jason? When did she begin to truly care about him? All we can do is listen and guess.
Their flirtation is delightful, and I found it much more grabbing and enjoyable than Jason and Tasha’s relationship, amazing as it was. We don’t know if Monica became Christian, but we can assume. It seemed that was one of the things we didn’t get to see because there was only so much AIO could show. Who knows? Perhaps Monica accepted Jesus with Jason. Perhaps they’re incredibly close.
But does the AIO team care? The storyline’s been a motionless, forgotten rock for years. I fear Monica is one of the characters AIO has decided to leave at the roadside and look away from.
Sad. But the purpose of speculations like this isn’t to see guess what will happen, it’s to wonder. What could happen to Jason? What, dare we imagine, is going on in his private life? Surely he hasn’t forgotten a daredevil who attempted to seduce him and rob him… and fell in love with him.
Love holds us. It makes us think upon emotions, hearts, and souls. Or, for some of us, it just touches us and makes us laugh and hope. Or it disgusts us. Whatever the case, it’s not something we can ignore.
I doubt, if we were to know the truth, Jason is ignoring it.
Perhaps romantic love is one of the greatest tastes we can have the eternal love of Heaven. Perhaps every kiss has a spiritual meaning we have not yet begun to discover. Perhaps Juliet’s whispers, perhaps Elisabeth’s unexpected desire for Mr. Darcey, perhaps Eowun’s yearning… all speak of a celestial magic. Perhaps the sensations of love and Gods plan for it, perhaps… surely… there’s a reason none of us can ignore passion.
Or maybe people are just dumb.
In any case… let’s talk it up!
