Good, criticism rawks.

There's nothing wrong with the way you write, but for me, I can't keep up with what's going on very well, lol. My brain's not the brightest bulb.

With this kind of writing I have to concentrate on each sentence, piecing it together in my mind, instead of quickly passing over the easy-to-comprehend sentences of nowadays modern novels. But like I said, nothing wrong with that, it's just different.

Would you mind telling me what the story's about, briefly?

I agree. And I appreciate your honest feedback. I confuse even myself sometimes. The story is about a guy who doesn't know what he wants out of life and he has all this meaningless experience and then he becomes a missionary and gets married. But throughout the story he's haunted by this one thing and it's a mystery you as the reader have to unravel. It's all very scattered...like I said, I've never written anything like this. Usually my stories are mainly dialogue and more focused on one main thing.

Yes, I wrote in one week. It was intended as a goodbye present for a friend of mine. This will sound unpleasant, but he was the inspiration for Roger's bland and laid back personality. If you want to see the rest I can post it.

I am floored, Sage. Your poem was wonderfully rhymed and as to your story (which I did in fact read thoroughly), I was quite impressed by the you were able to master that style of writing! I want to read more, and you should definitely keep on writing!! Very very impressive!!

That was really good. That's not the style of music I generally listen to, but I can tell a good vocalist when I hear one.

Questions:

1. How did you make it sound so...vintage? It sounds almost like it was created in the 50's, lol.

2. Did you have a whole band behind you or did you create the sounds yourself using some music program?

3. Do you usually call your good singing "shattered"? O_O lol

Awww...you're just too nice. *hugs* Hey I wouldn't have been able to post it without your help...I'll get back with you later on all that. Also, you've been playing guitar for 2 1/2 years and you sound like a pro...now THAT deserves applause! I have to go wash the dishes... (yes there was a band and I used to be into the 50's sound.) There's a whole story behind the song and why I didn't want to post it. Well I said shattered because I was trying to sound like another girl in the band, her voice was different from mine. My voice at that time (I was like 16) was super high and nasally and singing in a low key really hurt. Also, my vocal cords are damaged because I never had lessons and I don't sing from my diaphragm or whatever. I used to imitated Marianne Faithfull and Janis Joplin, much to the misery of my throat.

Good job. The only person I've heard sing that is Mandy Moore from Princess Diaries... I like your singing more. Heh.

And I'm sure her singing and the music was EQ'ed, Metal. There are effects you can add to an audio track to make it sound like that. You can do that with music programs and simple audio editors, like Garageband or Audacity.
