Anywho, this doesn't necessarily have to do with reminding me of AiO, but it involved AiO and was pretty cool:) I babysit these kids who are insanely obsessed with watching TV and today they came up to me in tears crying, "The TV's not working, "Stella!" The TV's not working! What are we gonna do?!!?"
This gave me an idea. I suddenly remembered Odyssey, and so me, with all my genius-ity, asked "Do you guys ever listen to the radio?" Their expressions were priceless "The... what? Oh the radio! No....." So, whilst making cupcakes (I'm so smart ) I proceeded to introduce them to Odyssey. We listened to Sunday Morning Scramble, and they loved it!

You're a clever babysitter. One of the girls at my church said she almost never got asked back to babysit. 0.o She thought about it for a second and said it was probably because she let them do things their parents said not to do. For example, if they were being annoying, she would let them eat the whole box of snacks or watch hours of television, just to get them to be quiet.
What the Parkers wouldn't give to be babysitted by her. Good to see you on here, by the way.
I have a few words of explanation before I can go into what exactly reminded me of Odyssey. It is a glorious talk of... sleeping. Long story short, i literally "slept wrong" and got a muscle spasm in my neck and shoulders. One thing I'm supposed to do for it is wear this sock filled up with rice, after heating it up in the microwave. I know, this is me talking, but you actually can trust me on this. I really and truly am supposed to put a microwaved sock on my neck, and it really and truly helps. I smell like lunch, but it helps.
Anyhoo, here's where this is going. We're in dining room eating breakfast and we hear our Dad saying, "Who left their sock in the microwave?"
Then of course we all howl, and I say, "Hey, that was for an experiment."

Going off in a tangent here, but what you said reminded me instantly of:

Haha!! And hey, I do the same the thing . I often can't sleep without heating up my sock!

We just arrived at my grandma's a couple hours ago and my sister was going to go to the store and pick up some pie crusts and fillings, and Mom told her she couldn't drive our car without someone having to tell her to put in the clutch or take in the shift. Guess what that reminded me of (I just listened to License to Drive. That ep practically taught me how to drive )
Pound Foolish wrote:Hee hee, Frog Face, I absolutely sympathize.
Let's see... I was recently reminded of Odyssey rather blatantly.
I am not making this up:
We were driving along in Texas, and I saw this giant billboard saying "AIO: a new kind of wireless."
I've never been to Texas, but I see that all the time!

I also went on a Dr. Seuss ride in Universal, and the played a recording of the actor who played Trent reading aloud a Dr. Seuss book! Oh, yes, I have observed all of those. It's pretty strange...

The other day my friend and I were doing 20 questions and I chose a narwhal as my thing. It turned out she DIDN'T KNOW (shame on her!) what a narwhal was. Soooo this popped out of my face: Well, you know it now! AND DOOOOON'T YOU FORGET IT!

I was looking up the website of the Bible Broadcasting Network yesterday, and I clicked on the "Kid's Shows" page. The first thing that popped up was Adventures in Odyssey, but they had a picture to go with each show, so there was this picture of Whit from the videos, and he's just smiling and waving. You should look it up.
@schnoodlec: A few weeks ago my bus captain told me something, and she said, "Well no you know." And I said, "And don't you for-get it!" Then I had to explain what it was from.

I've actually seen an alarming amount of narwhal ignorance lately, so it's funny that you mention this. My sister and I use "And don't yew for-get it!" around each other.
The EPA (environmental Protection Agency) showed up at our house yesterday, and about half way through their visit, I thought of the episode "One bad apple" (I think it is. Or is that the one with Rodney?) where the EPA and Philip Glosman (spelling) show up at Tom's farm.
I was watching Disney's Peter Pan yesterday, and when the Lost Boys are in the crow's nest of the Jolly Roger holding back the pirates, John hits one on the head with an umbrella and says something like "Down, you blackguard!" That reminded me of the good Doctor himself, and when I looked up the definition of blackguard, the first thing that popped up was "a scoundrel." You'll find about the same thing written in The Official Guide when they talk about why they christened Dr. Blackgaard with his name.

A week ago I was in a rehearsal for a play with my youth group, and they said something about Shakespeare.
and without thinking i yelled out in a loud voice: "Shakespeare, my lemonade!" and 2 people understood!

Sandwiches are fine!
I like sandwiches, I eat them all the time!
We have a J + J's retail shop in town!
Plus, we were playing a game the other day, and I was about to make a move that wouldn't get me very many points, and I said,
"There, 15, call me Wooton."
(because he does stuff without caring much if he loses)
and my sister said,
"But Wooton can only count to six!"
