Something tells me that your definition of "nasty" and ours are two very different things. Can you give any examples of how she is "nasty"?

So you don't have anything more substantial to back your point up than how a character sounds?

I'm aware that since this is radio, what a character sounds like is crucially important for characterization, but perhaps you ought to take how she sounds and balance it with what she says and does and see if you draw the same conclusion. Ultimately, actions speak louder than inflections.
