Why should what Connie says about Eugene impact my opinion? She's a fictional character. Her viewpoint isn't necessarily the show's, nor should it follow that "Connie says it, therefore it is true".

He is speaking English--it's just a metaphor for when someone doesn't understand what someone else is saying, as in Connie's case. She knows it's English, just a kind of English she doesn't understand.

Eugene is a great character. Not only does he supply many laughs and humorous scenes on AIO, but he's grown as a Christian and is a great role model. I also learn lots of knew words when I listen to episodes with him in it.
God resists the proud? Really? Eugene is learning just as other characters in many episodes as well. I think he has matured a lot. Eugene is a Christian.
John Henry, forgive me if I'm being rude here, but God is all about wisdom and knowledge. God doesn't hate intellectuals, and neither should you.

Secondly, your only other "reason" for hating Eugene is "God resists the proud". But you give no explanation for this.
