Re: Random Chat
They did their best with what they had to go on, but most of their arguments against homosexuality were rather feeble, to be honest. That was only one subplot, though. The rest of the album was a total hodgepodge.

Re: Wish There Was Character Like...
I just want characters who can /like/ things and not have those things considered idols. For example, someone who loves, loves music. S/he keeps up with all of the latest bands, has a huge collection of records, blogs about music, etc, etc. And let me clarify: Not. Gospel. Music. Not. Christian. Mu...

Re: Going Crazy with the Hiatus?
Ha ha, me too. Odyssey is far less relevant in my life than it used to be. These days, I mostly just come on here for non-Odyssey related discussion (KRE is the exception, of course). Still, I believe I'll listen to the new episodes as they come out this season.

Re: Last Movie you Saw
It was supposed to be a black comedy, if I'm not mistaken, and black comedies typically don't make a whole lot of sense. Birdman looked interesting, too, and it's another one I hope to see some time... in the distant future. It doesn't seem like the type of movie that would win Best Picture, though....

Re: Questions for Admins/Mods
What spam topics? I think most of the topics considered "spam" were already added to the Archives. I don't know of any spam topics in the Odyssey forums, anyway.

Re: Last Movie you Saw
I've only seen two of the Best Picture nominees, because I somehow missed The Theory Of Everything during its go around in theaters, and all the other ones are rated R (though I still really, really want to see Boyhood). What are your predictions for what will win? I think it's a very close race, bu...

Re: Blimey Cow!
Whoa, I didn't realize Blimey Cow had such an extensive Wikipedia page, much less a Wikipedia page at all. I always assumed they were some indie, underground thing that only Soda Shoppers knew about. Guess I should've looked at the number of views on the videos more closely...

This is the 2000th post of KRE. The Ducky reigns supreme, as always. Long live the Ducky.

Re: Blimey Cow!
Seriously? Every one that says anything about 12-15 year old's dating gets a huge comment war.... What is that supposed to mean? I wasn't complaining about the inherent fact that they were talking about relationships, I was just saying it was my humble opinion that they did it too often. Those soun...

Re: Wish There Was Character Like...
Yeah, that was a bit of a racial stereotype. It would have been fine if he wasn't the only Asian character on the show, but since he is... I love the idea of a literary nerd, like someone who reads James Joyce and Shakespeare for fun. :ugeek: It's true that AIO has had virtually no one like that. Th...

Re: The K.R.E. (Klub Rules Emily)
I was going to buy a life-size ice sculpture of Emily from PF and then take it to the Bahamas, just to watch it melt. Well, scratch that, Bahamas tickets are too expensive these days. Perhaps I'll just take her to the sauna . The gym rats may look at me kind of funny, but it'll be worth it...

Re: The K.R.E. (Klub Rules Emily)
The angels wept in heaven On the day of her birth The optimists were devoid of happiness The jesters without mirth To the world she gave a vain welcome With a thousand piercing cries Her supposedly loving parents In secret screaming "Why, why, why!" The world wasn't ready for her arrival F...

Re: Blimey Cow!
Perhaps they are going a bit overboard with that. All their videos seemed to be divided into two categories: critiques of the "modern Christian" and dating advice. But I suppose if that's what their audience wants...

The question was directed at anyone who wanted to answer it. My whole family are massive Auburn fans, so of course I immediately decided to be a casual Alabama fan upon entering this world.

Re: The K.R.E. (Klub Rules Emily)
We're lobbying to get rid of you: care to sign the petition? Having a character like you on AIO is such a juxtaposition We've got Matthew and Olivia, Priscilla and Barrett But when you're put alongside of them it makes them all seem so garish "People who think they know everything are a great a...

Re: Book Klub
Um... I feel like kind of an idiot right now, rallying everyone to read a book and then not even reading it myself. Reading wise, I've been focusing exclusively on War and Peace lately (I'm finally halfway done, and should complete it in the next couple weeks). Since I already read Wrinkle In Time a...

Unfortunately, yes. Well, I guess it's not really that unfortunate. Let's just say that the South and I are often incongruous to each other.
