Pesticide Company Gives Money to Environmental Cause
The Edgebiter Chemical Company
announced today that it will give an undisclosed amount of money to the Save
Trickle Creek Fund. "It's our small way of helping Odyssey stay clean and
healthy for all its citizens," Jeremy Dimble, a spokesman for the company,
said.
The Save Trickle Creek Fund
was created by Tom Riley to keep Trickle Lake and its tributaries free from
pollution. Riley was unavailable for comment, but sources close to the Fund
said they appreciated the gesture and hoped a more cooperative relationship
with the Edgebiter Company might be established.
Readers may remember the
controversy aroused by the Edgebiter Chemical Company when it was discovered
that they were leaking pesticides into Trickle Creek. Government authorities
are still investigating the incident.
