New Paintings to be displayed in Treasure Room at Whit's End
The Treasure Room at Whit's End will soon be
displaying a variety of paintings from local artists. John Avery Whittaker,
owner of Whit's End, said that the art on display will specifically
celebrate the beauty of the town of Odyssey. "We live in a beautiful part of
the country," said Whit. "Since the Treasure Room is devoted to showing our
true 'treasures,' we thought it would be a good use of the room to show
people how blessed to live in such a scenic place."
Jack Allen, co-owner of the J & J Antique Gallery, is lending several
paintings from his shop as well as painting a few originals for the exhibit.
When asked his favorite painting, Jack replied, "I think it's probably one
of Trickle Lake early in the morning; the calm and the quiet are just
inspiring."
The exhibit will open within the month.
