Rachel Jefferson is the mother of Alex Jefferson. She
works at Campbell County Community College and is famous in Odyssey for
her chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies, which she always puts in her
gold cookie tin. She has a genuine concern to guide her son into making
the right decisions.

Rachel Straussberg
Rachel Straussberg is the loving matriarch of the
Straussberg family, who came into particular prominence as a character
when she began struggling in her marriage to her husband Stephen. The
two were separated for a time, and Rachel began struggling both to make
ends meet and to care for her daughter, who took the separation
particularly hard.

Ralph Howards
Ralph Howards was a career policeman achieving the rank
of Inspector before retiring. When Odyssey Bank was robbed in the
1940's, Mr. Howards was on duty and shot with a knock-out dart,
rendering him useless to the case and a suspect in the robbery decades
later. |

Red
Hollard
Red Hollard is a goofy handyman who drives a tow truck
and is fond of giving kids (and adults) down-to-earth advice--often with
expressions that don't make much sense but do make people laugh. He
loves history and is very fond of telling stories. He was born and
raised in Tennessee before moving to Odyssey. In addition to his
handyman work he also is a registered locksmith and is certified to
check fire extinguishers. |

Reginald Duffield
Reginald Duffield is Whit's friend from World War II
during the Battle of Guadalcanal. They first met when Whit was on a
rescue mission to find Regi, nicknamed during the events of Rescue
from Manatugo Point. Regi and Whit later worked together during
Operation: Dig-Out. During the battle, Whit saved Regi from a bomb
that shot shrapnel into Whit's leg and took off part of his ear. Regi in
turn rescued the unconscious Whit from the water, but was shipped out
after the operation. |

Regis Blackgaard
As Whit’s nemesis, Dr. Regis Blackgaard is synonymous
with pure evil in Odyssey. Where Bart Rathbone’s schemes are comical,
Blackgaard’s are terrifying. A former European intelligence agent, he
has plotted more than once to take over Whit’s End and Odyssey by
whatever means necessary. He is to be feared and never trusted.

Richard Carper
Richard Carper is the father of Cody Carper. He sees his

Richard Maxwell
Richard has actually revealed very little about himself
on the show, though much is implied. He was a manipulating 'teenage thug
with a criminal past' with quite an attitude on him when we first met
him, but had a strangely present sense of right and wrong -- being
unwilling to actually harm people.

Robert Mitchell is an FBI agent who is currently working
in Budapest, Hungary. Mitch came to Odyssey to expose Novacom's evil
deeds. He originally worked as a public relations representative at
Novacom. During the Novacom Saga he started a romantic relationship with
Connie Kendall. |

Robyn Jacobs
Robyn is the oldest kid of the Jacobs family. Robyn is
stubborn, impatient, and can be very mean at times. But deep down she
has a heart of gold. She often looks for the easiest way out and desires
to be the center of attention, but generally humbles herself and admits
being wrong. She is sincere about her Christian faith but often isn't
quite effective in sharing it with others.

Rodney Rathbone
Rodney Rathbone is an only child, who
proudly serves as the town bully and head of a gang called “The Bones of
Rath.” He has become a fixture on the streets (and back alleys) of
Odyssey. Whether he’s harassing kids, trying to con someone, or starting
a rock band, Rodney keeps things lively through his humorous and willful
defiance of common sense. |

Rusty Gordon
Rusty Gordon is a member of the Bones of Wrath. His name
seems to have changed, along with his voice, from Malone to Gordon. He
is first and foremost a bully, but he took part in the Kid's Radio show
"The Twilife Zone".

Ryan
Cummings
Ryan is the mayor of Kidsboro and the former captain of
the Odyssey Middle School basketball team. He is also the de facto
leader of the the Square One Club. Ryan used to live in California with
his mother and his father under the name of Jim Bowers (according to the
Kidsboro books). But when his father became an alcoholic, Ryan, eight
years old at the time, and his mother left his dad in the middle of the
night after experiencing abuse from Mr. Bowers. They went to an abuse
shelter that set them up with a new name and life in Odyssey. |
