“Candid Conversations with Connie” Audio Book Now Available

For the first time in Adventures in Odyssey history, the Odyssey team has released one of its books as an audio book for listeners.
Candid Conversations with Connie: A Girl’s Guide to Growing Up, written by Kathy Buchanan, is now available as an audio download from Focus on the Family. And it’s only fitting that since the book was “written” by Connie Kendall (or so she says), it is read in conversational style by Connie herself. Of course, Katie Leigh is the accomplished actress who graces the audio book with a great performance as Connie Kendall. Katie’s performance as Connie is exceptional, so girls listening will certainly feel as if they are having a one-on-one conversation with Connie Kendall—Kids Radio style.
About Candid Conversations with Connie
Welcome to Candid Conversations with Connie! And these conversations are going to be very candid. In this book we’re only taking questions from girls! Yep, they can ask whatever they want, and I will answer from my vast knowledge and experience. (Well . . . maybe not vast.) If I don’t know the answer, I’ll ask my friend Penny. We’ve been where you are, and we know what it’s like.
You’re not a little girl anymore, but you’re still years off from adulthood. You still like to play, but you also enjoy having long conversations with friends. You sometimes want to cuddle on your mom’s lap, and other times you wish she would just leave you alone. All that’s pretty normal, and you’ll see that from the questions we’re answering.
One Last Note:
And it would be a shocker if an avid fan such as myself didn’t give it a listen, even though I’m not a girl. And I must say, I was very pleased with the quality and delivery of the book word-for-word. Avid fans out there who happen to be guys, you know you’re going to do the same… And I’m the first one to admit that I did.
