Off the Deep End

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2011

What happens when Odyssey goes off the deep end? Find out in the upcoming Album 55: The Deep End. Thanks to Tyndale, the summary for the album is now available:

Jason Whittaker discovers a life-threatening plot in the works after he tracks the villainous Mr. Grote to London. In Odyssey, rumors fly when a wedding brochure is mistaken for an announcement and everyone thinks Connie is getting married. Eugene and Katrina hear unsettling news about their future. And Kids' Radio tells the exciting story about how a back-country man with a simple desire for peace winds up on the front lines of World War I. Amidst all of the conflict and comedy, our pals in Odyssey learn that being in over their heads can be a very touching and funny experience when God is put in the center of it all.

Forgiving More... or Less and You're Two Kind in Review

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2011

We're hitting you with a double dose today here at The Odyssey Scoop! We're pleased to post our next two reviews of the fall 2011 Adventures in Odyssey season, thanks to our reviewer Ben Warren. First up, you can read our review of Forgiving More... or Less:

Forgiving More... or Less is your average Adventures in Odyssey episode. That's not a bad thing. Calling an episode ''average'' means Adventures in Odyssey did everything you expected it to do. It may not add much to the series, but you've now spent 25 quality minutes and are now a little wiser. And for whatever I didn't like about this episode, I easily forgave it. Read full review...

Next up, check out our review of You're Two Kind:

Despite being one of the season's simpler episodes, it's delightfully engaging and follows a back-to-basics formula. A kid has his realistic problem; Connie and Eugene have theirs; and Whit travels between both stories and does what he does. Simplicity may be this season's motto, but it works best in You're Two Kind. Read full review...

Stay tuned, fans. We've got six more reviews coming up this season. Until then, catch up on our season reviews. It's definitely been an exciting season so far! Click here to see what's coming up this fall!

Anger Mismanagement in Review

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2011

Good news, fans! Our latest review of Anger Mismanagement is up—thanks to our reviewer Ben Warren:

Anger Mismanagement...had multiple story-lines that don't quite fit together. They may work, thematically; however, the episode feels too cluttered and doesn't know what it should be focusing on. Quality is more important than quantity; I'd rather hear one really good story than three mediocre ones. Read full review...
